A Dainty Lingerie Blouse - 1906

I can never figure out how they managed that look. Corsets I understand, but what made that pouter pigeon mono-bust? Stuffing?
However, "The present blouse is as fine and elaborate as human fingers can fashion".

  1. Here's a wonderful write up on the different types of corsetry -- the one about the S curve corset explains how that silhouette was accomplished. For all the Victorian things I love, that pigeon breast silhouette is not one of them!
